And so we appear to be drawing the curtains on Summer. Sadly, the weather seems to have done this approximately a month ago, but I've been clawing at the last dregs of the Summer like nobody's business. I love it so.
This Summer has probably been my most enjoyable to date. I went to Benicassim festival, after being in Valencia when Spain won the world cup - very enjoyable. Sadly a taxi and my mobile phone made good friends and drove off into the sunset together recently so I can't share any phone pictures with you.
I can, however, share this one of me and a friend enjoying the Benicassim vibes. Unfortunately the person I went out there with had to fly home on day two - leaving me on my own. Being alone and loneliness, however, do not go hand in hand, and I was adopted into a group of the most lovely, caring and funny people possible, a big group from Brighton. I feel very lucky and it made my whole experience extraordinarily special.

Leigh, a girl I had the fine fortune to meet, and myself.
I then went to Barcelona for a few days. It took me about two days of being lonely and feeling sad that I was no longer around such wonderful people - but predominantly sleeping, to get over Beni. I did, though, and met some lovely boys from Brighton (again!) who had come out to Barcelona to skate and enjoy themselves. They were lovely and one even forced ten euros into my hand as I was too poor to eat that day!
I've been lucky enough to do an abundance of other things - including turning twenty-one last Monday! Which involved far too high a level of inebriation and a personal vow to be more healthy. And I'm going to Paris on Friday, for the first time ever! I'm very excited.
All in all, Summer has been and continues to be a delight, after a rocky start to the year! Let's hope this streak of happy times continues with few bumps along the way.
