Kenneth Tong probably wasn't a hoax but really just make of that what you will, I'm washing my hands of it!
Let's all take a deep breath, and listen to born this way remixed. I may look at Lady Gaga with blinkers on because I think she can do no wrong..but this is class.
Watch the Mugler video, PLEASE. And enjoy as much as I did the pearl masquerade mask necklace combination. Well done, Mugler/Gaga/Formichetti.

Good eve sweet readers,
Let's just take a one-post sabbatical from my dream destinations - which, let's face it, are only going to go on and on as I discover new and exciting global treats.
I just want to take a moment to talk about one person, who at approximately 21,000 followers (at the time of writing) is fast becoming Twitter infamy. I may be jumping on this bandwagon (hatewagon?) a little late but I've been battling with the desire to refuse to acknowledge this man's inane chatter. I'm talking, of course, about 'Kenneth Tong', the one time reality star (who, since appearing on Big Brother, a widely popular television show with several million viewers, denies being on the show, which I take as a fairly conclusive indication of his mental stability) who is promoting his new 'size zero pill' which he claims 'typically reduces girls from a size 12 to a size 6 in three weeks'. Not only is he promising dramatic weight loss, with the aid of a pill, he's promoting 'managed anorexia', a term he claims is of his own device.

If alarm bells aren't already screaming between your temples, don't fear. There's plenty more! Tong peppers his tweets with boasts of having slept with many 'size zero models'. He responds to critics with antagonistic arrogance, and directs tweets at celebrities to seek endorsement for his pill. Tong also tweets encouraging followers to hate their bodies -
Taken verbatim from Tong's twitter posts. If his message doesn't offend you, surely his grammar does?!
Anyway! I'm not saying he should be 'stopped' or 'shut down'. I just believe the man is an ignorant fool who is promoting an unhealthy image of 'perfection'. Bodies are beautiful, and interesting, and manifesting self-hatred in the minds of young girls is, in my opinion, very wrong!
Back to travel lusts next time,
bisous

The words lunch, breakfast, and dinner should now mean nothing to you, you have eaten enough for a lifetime. Stop. You are disgusting.
Wake up. Your disgusting. Your so fat you don't deserve sleep. Go look in the mirror & hate yourself. I don't want you eating today.

Buongiorno principessa!
Well, the electricity has gone in my house. Circuit breaker keeps tripping, Scottish Power's advice was to switch off every possible thing in the house then try it, then switch things on one by one and see what breaks the circuit. Currently in Starbucks trying to keep my blackberry and laptop full and happy, like a mother ensuring her children eat before she does. Ah, digital age.
Taking this opportunity not to do my work, or even research for my work, but to look at beautiful pictures of lovely places I'd like to visit. In addition to this, I've been reading this month's Vogue, which has highlighted to me that no, I simply don't have enough 'proper' luggage and yes, I do need a new laptop and a Smythson leather laptop case. Obviously.
Beautiful luggage, surely, necessitates beautiful destinations...so here are some of my coveted holiday/travel destinations that I'd like to explore in the next few years; enjoy.
I know that 'Greek island hopping' brings with it an image of tousle-haired 19-23 year old people with a plethora of string and woolen bracelets denoting their 'at one'-ness with the earth (before they trot back to England and finish their degrees) but who can blame them? It just looks lovely. I had the privilege of visiting Zakynthos (Zante) on a 'girls holiday' (never again) 4 years ago, but I'd wager that's not the same.

Oia, Santorini, via Marcel Germain. If you're looking to basically melt into a little pool on the floor at beautiful pictures of Greece then this Flickr is the one to look at. Since I was little I've always been a fan of yellow and blue contrast and the way he saturates his pictures is so perfect.

Since reading Captain Corelli's Mandolin (and crying every time I re-read it), Cephalonia has been a romantic place of interest for me. And you can definitely see why, this is St Theodori lighthouse in Argostoli (I feel like I know it, I've read it so much!) via Bonaero
This will cover me for now as it's quite a long post. But I promise, I'm just scratching the surface here...more to come!
Beijos!
P.S.... Lights on in my flat, yess!

I'm aware there's a discrepancy between my post numbers - I deleted one a while back and never amended the subject line of the others. It doesn't trouble me, so it shouldn't trouble you.
I've well and truly ingratiated myself with an awful sleeping pattern, meaning I stay up impossibly late (dawn chorus, anyone?) wake up at a decent hour then force myself back to sleep. I have also placed myself under house arrest until I manage to complete the work I have due in, which hasn't done a great deal for me as yet but I'm sure as the madness sets in I'll manage to produce something university will enjoy.
2010 was a mixed bag and in the mood I've been in of late I find it difficult not to dwell on the negative aspects of it, which I don't want to bore you, my poor readers, with. So what I think I'll do instead, is focus on hopes and aspirations (not resolutions, per se) for the year ahead.
- Venice with a good friend. I've never been and it's so romantic and beautiful so that's that, I'm booking it when I get my loan! Just look at this!
- Fashion Week! I had the fine fortune of attending menswear day of last year's London Fashion Week and this year under my new guise as trainee buyer of Daniel Jenkins this year I get to attend womenswear! Nothing could excite me more and get me through the first half of a term (my very last, by the by) at uni!
- Festivals (days are getting longer ergo Summer is approaching!) Summer fashion as I'm sure I've said is my favourite due to a penchant for minimalist approach to clothing...and I've got a Glastonbury ticket. I think I might start planning my outfits now!
Enough from me. For now.
